PETTYBONE
Soon to split up in September, Pettybone are a punk as fuck all-female 4 piece from London with Amy Bajeski on vocals, Ivona Behalova on guitar, Lianna Lee Davies on bass and Zel Kaute on drums. The vocals range from roars to chant like singing with lyrics that cover political and societal issues, including women’s rights. They released an album: “From Desperate Times Come Radical Minds” which you can buy from their web store.
They’ve played shows with Converge and Refused and are heavily influenced by riot grrrl and post-punk bands. They’ve also been supporting the ‘Free Pussy Riot!’ campaign by selling t-shirts to donate money for their legal fees. Try to catch their last few shows if you can (Reading/Leeds fest and Bristol).
Hevn – All The Same

Hevn started up in a dark brown smoke filled pub called Evergreen late fall almost winter 2004. They spent some time in the rehearsal room before they started to play live. After some years with good fun and after lack of inspiration and less progression, they decided to pull the plug on the band and continued to be friends. And they still meet at the pub for getting wasted and talk bullshit.
DRAMA
Drama, from Barcelona, started playing in 2005 and called it quits in 2012 after the vocalist moved country. They played political, metallic hardcore punk fuelled by anti-authoritarian, feminist and antifascist beliefs.
The line-up was: Michelle: vocal, Pablo: bass, Sylvia: drums and Elena: guitar. They released two 7” EPs (Creación Destructiva and Sin Perdon) as well as an initial demo within their life-span.Thanks to Michelle (the vocalist of Drama) for getting in touch about her band. Feel free to do the same!

toopunkforfun спросил(a): i'm confused. what does being sexually monogamous have to do with punk? I originally only looked at this blog to check that you folx were including women who were not assigned female at birth but now I'm just confused and feeling itchy from the problematic language. whats up with this?
in this blog I just post music with female vocals. monogamous relationship - this is my personal opinion on life and if you have not noticed, I’m not promoting it here.
Listen to Necklacing - female-fronted, thrash as fuck power-violence from northern MA.
NO STATIK
Plainly said, NO STATIK is crushing female fronted hardcore. It’s vicious, ugly and uncomfortable. Pure vision. Any flowery description of the sound will only detract from what you need to know. And that is the end is coming and this is the soundtrack. Consisting of ex-members from Artimus Pyle, Scrotum Grinder, Scholastic Deth, and Look Back and Laugh, these miscreants have a direction in mind and they are not stopping until we all reach the apocalypse. Strap in.
If you don’t believe the description, check out this live video. Crazy shit. They come from Bay Area, California and the members are:
- drums: B
- guitar: Mark
- vocals: Ruby
- bass: Robert
They’ve released a 7” on Iron Lung Records and a 12” on Prank Records. Thanks to didntmakethefootballteam!
